- Eligibility for public procurement contracts according to Order No 402/A/MINPMEESA/CAB of 21 October 2019 setting the nature and thresholds of contracts reserved for craftspeople , small and medium sized enterprises, community organizations and civil society organizations, as well as private contracts;
- Eligibility to acquire exhibition spaces in handicraft villages;
- Integration into the volume chains of medium sized and large enterprises to facilitate the sales of its products.
How to become a formal craftsperson
- Register free of charge with the craftspeople Council office of your council area;
- Pay the withholding tax to the municipal revenue office of your municipality, for those with a turnover of less than ten million per year (10 000 000);
- Book keeping of your activities;
- Affiliate to voluntary insurance with the closest branch of the National Social Insurance Fund.
What is the craftsperson entitled to?
- certificate of registration with the CCO;
- A craftsperson’s card obtained from the Divisional Delegate of MINPMEESA of his jurisdiction;
- A receipt of payment of the withholding tax from the municipal revenue office of his jurisdiction;
- An old age pension for the craftsperson who subscribes to voluntary insurance with the Social Welfare Centre in his locality and who is up to date on his contributions.
