The Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts is organising the International Conference on the Dissemination of Entrepreneurial Culture in Cameroon under the theme “Entrepreneurial culture in Cameroon: finding ways to make it more dynamic”. The conference is intended to lay the foundations for a strategic reorientation of the dissemination of entrepreneurial culture with a view to boosting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon. The dissemination of entrepreneurial culture therefore necessarily involves raising awareness and promotion activities, with the ultimate aim of defining a global vision of the impact of culture as a lever for building entrepreneurial models.
The International Conference on the Dissemination of Entrepreneurial Culture aims at raising awareness among all stakeholders of the need to strengthen the dissemination of entrepreneurial culture within society and to encourage its integration at all levels of education and training. More specifically, the sittings will consist of brainstorming, debate, exchange and experience sharing with all the stakeholders involved, in order to produce an inventory and diagnosis of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon, with particular emphasis on entrepreneurial education and the dissemination of an entrepreneurial culture; identifying new orientations in favour of the emergence of entrepreneurial education likely to guide future project holders in the creation and development of their project ideas; defining the modalities for integrating the notions of entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurial education into the education and training system in Cameroon, among others.
The activities of the International Conference involve all stakeholders in the national and international entrepreneurial ecosystem, in particular the sectoral administrations and their branches; universities, advanced schools and research institutes; employers’ organisations and professional associations; SME promoters, SEOs, HPUs; incubation structure promoters; researchers; academics and development partners who support the national policy for the promotion of entrepreneurship. Moreover, these activities are centred around a number of highlights, including An Opening Ceremony, which will set the scene for the event and set the broad outlines of this gathering. An Opening Plenary Session to provide an overview of the issues and opportunities relating to the central theme of the Conference. Round Tables and Workshops: they will consist of two (02) thematic round tables and five (05) thematic workshops, during which the papers proposed by the tenders in the selected sub-themes will be analysed with a view to sharing experience on the conditions for the successful development of an education/corporate culture tailored to the needs of the national economy.
