On 16 February 2023, the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille BASSILEKIN III received in audience in his office, the Director of the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ESSTIC) Madam Alice NGA MINKALA. Exchanges were focused on START-TIC, the corporate incubator of the establishment, dedicated to innovative project holders in the domain of information and communication.
The Director of ESSTIC, after having expressed her gratitude to the Minister of SMESEHs for the technical and financial support received for the implementation of this innovative initiative in ESSTIC, gave an inventory of activities and actions carried out within the incubator. This helped to mature five projects, notably All4students, DLD Consulting, Juris Consulting, IBC Sport and COREC in domains such as information management, local development, strategic forecasting, communication and sports marketing as well as documentary research respectively. « ESSTIC intends pursuing the project and to launch the 2nd batch, in spite of the challenges she is facing », Professor Alice NGA MINKALA indicated before soliciting the renewal of support from MINPMEESA».
« MINPMEESA will pursue this technical support», the Minister of SMESEHs reassured. « It is however necessary that ESSTIC concentrates future projects on the heart of information and communication jobs» he added. Moreover, he invited the Director and her team to appropriate themselves of all the details and to conform to the standards and basic principles of the incubation activity, in order to guarantee the formalisation of START-TIC. Both parties also voiced the possibility of signing a Convention between MINPMEESA and ESSTIC notably within the framework of a working visit that the Minister of SMESEHs could carry out in this establishment.
