Through these revolutionary tools, the Ministry of SMEs has taken stock of the evolution of actors in its sector of activity.
The meeting presided over by the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille Bassilekin III, on 03 September 2020 in the Conference Hall of the Emergence building, had two major articulations. The presentation of the mainr results of the 2019 edition of the MINPMEESA Statistical Year Book dominated the first part while the presentation of the Management System of Project Database (DBMS) enriched the second part.
Talking about the Statistical Yearbook, the major objective targeted by this document is to provide the needed statistical information to the different actors in the SMESEH domain in supporting their strategic choices. To be more specific, the said document responds to an exigency, that of having reliable information on the population of actors who integrate the activity sector of the Ministry, notably small and medium-sized enterprises, social economy actors and craftspeople. This analytical approach retracing the evolution of the said actors, has not only helped to figure out their contribution to the gross domestic product but above all, has enhanced the assessment of their action, development and impact on Government policy formulation. It is therefore necessary for all the actors to be better understand the document in order to contribute to the improvement of future statistical data and in the setting up of a harmonised mechanism for the production of reliable statistics.
According to the Minister, “SMESEH actors play a key role in achieving the objectives of development and materialisation of the national development strategy prescribed by the Head of State H.E Paul BIYA’’.
