The South region hosted the first edition of its Cooperative Market on 24 February 2023.
Along with the highest officials of the South, the Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille BASSILEKIN III, commended the advent of this other Market. As he stated, by creating value, which favours a long-term economic and social impact, it is a collective response to the needs of the populations It is a real tool for the development of the territories which focuses on the transformation of local products in order to build value chains essential to the achievement of import-substitution.
On this occasion, the Minister installed the Bureau of the Regional Network of Social and Solidarity Economy (RERESS) of the South as well as the Chairpersons of the Divisional Networks of Social and Solidarity Economy (REDESS). He entrusted them with this essential mission: transforming the Cooperative Market into a sustainable activity. For MINPMEESA, beyond the support of public authorities and other partners, the success of RELESS depends first of all on their capacity to work together in such a way that, the spirit of collaboration and the collective interest prevail within their groupings.
