The Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and
Handicrafts BASSILEKIN III, received in audience on Tuesday 30 January 2019 Mr.
Salah KHALED, Regional Multi-Sectoral Representative of the United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) for Africa.
The consolidation of women and youth entrepreneurship, technical and
professional training in the domain of handicrafts were at the centre of discussions.
At the end of the exchanges, UNESCO undertook to accompany MINPMEESA
through its key sectors that include the small and medium sized enterprise, social
economy and handicrafts. It was an occasion for both parties to review the
instruments through which one can contribute to development so as to mitigate the
effects of climate changes still having as target population the youth and women. The two men decided to work together, within the framework of technical meetings during which, they will define a joint road map which should quickly bear fruits.
