An important delegation of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was granted an audience on 19 July 2022 by the Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA) Achille BASSILEKIN III. This delegation led by Mr RIDHA BEN MOSBAH, former Tunisian Minister of Industry and SMEs was composed of, among others, the Director of the Enterprises Upgrading Bureau and the UNIDO Representative for Cameroon. This meeting was part of the process of materialisation of cooperation projects initiated by MINPMEESA with the support of UNIDO. The delegation presented to MINPMEESA the conclusions of the study on the institutional development of the Cameroonian Enterprises Upgrading Bureau (BMN) within the framework of the implementation of the project “Support for the evolution of the institutional, economic and operational model of the BMN in Cameroon”. At the end of the audience, the Head of Mission, Mr. RIDHA BEN MOSBAH, made it clear that the BMN had been the subject of an in-depth study and its status had been examined. It was appropriate that the conclusions be presented to the Minister in charge of SMEs. He added that these recommendations will be disseminated to the general public during a ceremony to be held at the Hilton Hotel on 21 July 2022.
